The tour majorly emphasis on the visiting the world heritage sites and mountain profile including the close peek to the cultural and religious practices of local people.

Kathmandu, the capital and bustling city, houses many cultural world heritage sites. Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha, is famous Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. Pokhara, nestled at the lap of Annapurna range, offers scenic view of beautiful mountain landscapes, mountain valleys, lakes and gorges.

Major Landmarks to visit during Kathmandu Pokhara Lumbini Tour

World Peace Pagoda:

World Peace Pagoda is located outside the revered garden of Lumbini. It takes around 45 minutes to reach the site. The landmark was built by the Japanese monk and it famous for outstanding view of sunset and known for peace and tranquil ambiance.

Lumbini Crane Sanctuary

The Stupa is surrounded by the wetland area which is famous for view of Sarus Crane. Especially in the evening, it is great to enjoy the Cranes.

Tilaurakot:

Located about 27km west of historic city of Kapilvastu, Tilaurakot is an ancient site that protects the remnants of palace, mounds of old stupas and monasteries built with Kiln burnt bricks and clay mortars. It used to be the home of Shakya dynasty.

Kundan:

Located about 2km southwest of Thaulihawa, it is small village with the ruins of huge structural with the cluster of four mounds and a tank. At the top of structural mound, there is the image of Linga, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Gotihawa:

Gotihava is small village located 5km south west of Thaulihawa. Here you can see the Ashoka pillar in a slab. Through the upper part of the Pillar is broken, there is still the lower portion which remains intact measuring 3.5m. In the adjoining place, you can witness huge stupa with successive rings of wedge shaped Mauryan bricks.

Lumbini Garden:

Lumbini Garden houses several fascinating shrines and monasteries which was built by the devotees from different countries. Visiting Lumbini Garden is not only a spiritual enlightenment but also a solace that one receives from the peace and calm ambiance.

The Ashoka Pillar:

A German Archaeologist, named Feuhrer, discovered a large pillar while on quest of historic site in 1895 at the foothill of Churia range. It was probably the first proof found related to the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Further exploration of surrounding area helps to discover the existence of brick temple and sandstone sculpture which portrays the scenes of the Buddha’s birth.

The Mayadevi Temple:

The Mayadevi Temple is the most significant shrine at Lumbini dedicated to the mother of Lord Buddha. Here you can discover the traditional sites related to Buddha’s birth and his childhood.

Puskarni

You can discover a famous sacred bathing poon on the south of the Maya Devi temple. It is believed that the Maya Devi took a holy dip in the pool before giving birth to the Gautam Buddha. It is also the place where the infant Gautam Buddha was given his first purification bath.

Sarangkot:

Sarangkot is a famous viewpoint to witness the sunrise and Himalayan range. This hilltop village offers the fascinating view of Annapurna mountain ranges as the first ray of sun strikes the snowy mountain changing with beautiful colors. The place is also equally famous for adventurous sports like Paragliding, Bungee Jumping and Zip flyer.

Bindabasini Temple

Built in 17th century, this temple is dedicated to goddess Durga, the goddess of destruction. It is one of the important Hindu pilgrimage site.

Mahendra Cave:

Mahendra Cave is a sacred natural cave made of limestone. It has huge entrance and the formation of the rocks inside the cave is worth exploring. There are lots of electric bulbs and you can see the formation of rocks and some of the rocks are given shape to Lingam.

Seti River Gorge:

This milky river flows deep below 50m and can be seen from the Bridge of the Seti River.

International Mountain Museum:

International Mountain Museum is newly established museum which pays homage to the mountains of Nepal and the climbers. There are many mountain gears used by the popular mountaineers and photos displaying the history, culture and Himalayan floral & faunal species.

Devi’s Falls:

Locally known as Patale Chhango, it popular hangout spot in Pokhara. The water of falls disappears mysteriously into the deep gorge.

Fewa Lake:

The second largest lake in Nepal, Fewa Lake is famous for boating and the reflection of the Mt. Machhapuchhre, the fishtail along with the Annapurna range on the surface of the lake. Boating at the vast lake of Fewa is truly relaxing after long day sightseeing of Pokhara city. There is an island temple called Tal Bahari. Hundreds of pilgrim visit the temple to offers their prayers to the goddess.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will meet our office representative after arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport who will transfer you to the hotel. After relaxing for a while, you will have short briefing about the tour and overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Today, after breakfast in the early morning we will visit the Bouddanath – The largest Gumba of Nepal, Swoyambhunath – The Monkey Temple, Patan Durbar Square – World Heritage site, and Pashupath – The largest Temple of lord Shiva. We will participate in Aarati in the evening and back to our Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara
We will have breakfast and head towards Pokhara in our private vehicle. We will reach there in approximately 5-6 hours. Then we can go for evening walk in the lakeside. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 04: Pokhara Sightseeing
After having breakfast in the early morning we will go Sarangkot to capture the incredible view of sunrise. Then we will be back to Pokhara and visit several caves and lakes and if time left we will also visit Mountain museum. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 05: Pokhara to Lumbini
Today we will have early morning breakfast and drive to Lumbini. After reaching there we will have some leisure time where you can explore the city or go shopping or simply hangout with your friend. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 06: Lumbini Sightseeing
After breakfast in the early morning we will go to visit the beautiful, historically and religiously important places of Birth Place of Gautam Budda. We will visit World Peace Pagoda, Tilaurikot, Kundan, Gotihawa, Lumbini Garden and other beautiful places if time left. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 07: Back to Kathmandu
We will have early morning drive to Kathmandu. After arrival in Kathmandu you can go shopping or simply relax and hangout with your crews. Farewell Dinner in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Final Departure
You can go shopping or relax with friends. We will drop you Airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight.,
