Phulchoki is the
most popular Bird Watching Tour site in Nepal, located 20km South East
of Kathmandu Valley. The forests and hills of Phulchoki provides a safe
heaven for various species of birds. The Bird Only found in Nepal
Spiny Babbler can be seen here in Phulchoki. It is the shelter for
about 265 species of the birds. Some of them are - warblers, tits,
thrushes, minivets, woodpeckers, eagles and many migrant birds. At the
foot of the Phulchoki hill the Royal Botanical Garden is situated,
which records over 100 species of birds including the lesser
racket-tailed drongo, Tibetian siskin and the spotted fork tail. In
Phulchoki Bird watching tour you can not only see the birds but also
have opportunity to observe the various faunal and floral diversity and
the great views of the surrounding hills.
How to reach Phulchoki ?
There are two ways to reach the Phulchoki hill. If you want quite
long walk around the hills of Kathmandu you can go to Phulchoki hill
through Namobudda and if you are in a hurry and want short walking, you
can go direct ascend from godawari.
As we have only one day we are choosing the second way i.e. direct
ascend from godawari so that we can spend more time in Phulchoki Hill.

Day 01:After breakfast in early in the morning, we’ll drive to the Foothill of
the Phulchoki equipped with Binocular, book and packed lunch. The
Godawari Bitanical Garden is the only botanical garden of Nepal situated
in the foothill. You can start to enjoy watching birds from this
garden. From here, we drive for sometime and walk for a while , depends
upon the bird site. You will have lunch and continue to enjoy the
great views with various species of birds. You can enjoy the Landscape
during the drive of 20km.
